Chicago Nephcure Walk :: Indianapolis Event Photographer

I had the privilege of photographing the 4th annual Chicago Nephcure Walk last weekend, held along the beautiful lakeshore near the museum campus.  This is a cause that is very near and dear to my heart because I suffer from a kidney disease known as FSGS, and Nephcure is the only organization dedicated to finding a cure for it and nephrotic syndrome.  A majority of the fundraising for Nephcure takes places through these walks.

And now for the plug.....we are actually hosting one here in Indianapolis on October 16.  We don't have a lot of people registered for the event yet, so if you'd like to register, then please visit thenephcurewalk.org   and select the Indianapolis walk.  If you're unable to register for the walk, then there's a link here on my site to donate to my team.  I would really appreciate any donation you  could provide.  A few dollars from a few hundred people adds up quickly!  And if you'd like to learn more about the fantastic work that Nephcure is doing, please visit their website, Nephcure.org.

Due to the sheer number of photos that I take during one of these events, I've found that using Animoto slideshows is a great way to see a lot of photos in a short amount of time.  If you'd like to see more of the photos, please go to my website and select "featured".  You'll see the Chicago Nephcure Walk gallery there.  Thanks for looking!

Jill Goode O'Neil 5K Run/Walk photos :: Indianapolis Event Photographer

On August 14th, I had the honor of being able to photograph the 1st annual Jill Goode O'Neil 5K Run/Walk in Avon.  There was a wonderful turnout of people to support Jill and her family as she continues to battle cancer.

I met Jill at work...she was a phlebotamist there, and since I get lab work done quite frequently due to my kidney disease, we became friends.  It wasn't until 2 years ago that I even knew Jill had cancer.  Here I was, always complaining about my situation, and there she was, fighting this horrible disease.  she is such an amazing, warm, giving person...always concerned about others.  She's incredible!

Anyway, I had a lot of fun being able to hang out with Jill this day, as well as witnessing the support that Jill has.  Very humbling...Here are a few photos from the event...if you'd like to see more, please go to my website, and under "featured" there's a gallery of photos from this event.

2010 Relay for Life photos :: Indianapolis Event Photographer

o, as I've mentioned before, I had the honor of photographing the 2010 Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society this year.  It was a couple of weeks ago, and I feel bad that it's taken me so long to post photos from it, but there were just soooo many to choose from.  In fact, I decided that, since there were so many, that I'd just make a slideshow out of the photos, that way no one has to click through the whole post (which was, at one point, was up to 81 photos!  ;)  Enjoy!!!

If anyone would like to see the individual images, please go to my website, select "featured" and you'll see the Relay for Life event.  Click on that and a slideshow will start of the individual photos.
